RunningAround -GIF .gif

In the digital marketing world of likes, follows, engagements, posts, and tweets it’s very easy to get lost in the shuffle and lose sight of what your social media marketing goals were in the first place.
I’m going to help you clear that up so you can improve your marketing strategy by using the data that you already have.
Social media marketing provides you with invaluable information about your customers and their preferences that your business can use to develop a more targeted strategy.
The information that your business can learn from measuring and analyzing relevant social media data and behaviors is something that you would have had to spend hundreds, if not thousands of dollars to access prior to the new age of digital marketing.
Marketing on most networks is even actually free!
At least to start. As your business begins to scale, you will also need to scale your marketing strategy. However, starting out with free marketing and free analytics is actually pretty awesome!
It doesn’t get much better than that folks.
Now before we move on, I’m going to let you in one of social media marketing’s little-known secrets.
(This is social media marketing Gold that I’m sharing here.)

Marketers, pay attention, this one is for you especially:
Social Media Marketing is about more than just accumulating a collection of likes and follows from your customers.
 -Ms.Loyd

If you’re only using social media marketing to accumulate likes and follows and not reviewing your metrics and analytics, then you’re wasting your time – and money.
Reviewing your social media marketing metrics gives you an indirect view into how your customers really feel about your business, products, services, and your brand as a whole.
Taking the time to review your social media analytics in depth can give you a gigantic picture and help you to hone your marketing efforts.
Proper use of social media metrics can help your brand to develop a strategy that will produce results and stop wasting time and money on marketing strategies that just aren’t working.

What Can You Learn from Tracking Your Social Media Analytics?
At first glance, these small tidbits of data may not seem to mean much, especially individually – but when combined, these analytics can provide you with a total view of the 5 W’s.
Who your customers are
What they’re interests are
Where they are located
When they are online
Why they are interested in your business (or not)

The Ultimate Social Media ROI = INSIGHT INTO CUSTOMER BEHAVIORS
If you’re tracking your social media metrics and analytics correctly, this is what you should end up with:
A global overview of your social media metrics and analytics provides you with a wealth of marketing data that goes beyond the typical definition of social media marketing ROI.
Audience Demographics: occupation, gender, net worth, along with other preferences and interests.
Target market indicators – Are you reaching your target audience?
Location: tells you where your primary audience is interacting with you from whether it be local, national, or international standpoint.
Brand performance indicator -Where is your brand is getting the most traction?
Income Brackets: provides your business an overview of the income categories that your customers fall into.
Buying power indicator – should you raise or lower your prices?

You’ll Never look at social media analytics the same way again.

Why I Love Twitter for Business: A User’s Perspective

Twitter is one of the world’s most popular social media networks that is in a category all its own.

I love Twitter for Businesses because major companies, small businesses, celebrities, and everyone else is on Twitter, and they are all “talking” to each other. We are no longer limited by the barriers of distance or time when it comes to communication, thanks to tools like the Internet and social platforms like Twitter.

Users are able to connect with each other 24 hours a day via real-time comments called “Tweets.” Tweets are limited to 140 characters at a time which causes the user to really get down to the business of getting their point across…140 characters, or less.

While it’s not an easy task, communicating in this way causes users to really “think” about what they say before they tweet it out to the world. This is especially true as there is no edit button. (Fellow Twitter users you know exactly what I’m talking about.)

In other words, Tweets are sent with care which translates into not only having conversations, but having “meaningful” conversations with your audience and customers.

If you’re a business looking to reach millions of potential customers at a time, then Twitter is the place for you.

Twitter boasts a user base of over 67 million. That is a staggering number. You’re bound to run into a least a few people that want to hear what your brand has to say.

The “Twitterverse” includes all walks of virtual life: young budding professionals, seasoned entrepreneurs, Millennials, CEO’s, moms, dads, you get the picture.

If it’s being talked about Twitter.

According to a recent research study done by Forrester, more than 78 percent of executives use Twitter daily and feel that Twitter has been influential in their business.

Considering the sheer number of users that Twitter boasts these statistics definitely make sense. The beauty of Twitter is that at some point you are going to run into your audience, you’re going to make the right connections, and you are going to get your message across as long as you are actively engaged with your audience.

Let’s take a look at some important Twitter stats provided by the Forrester Consulting Study on the Infographic below:

Corporations and businesses are definitely starting to learn the value of using Twitter for Business.

Brands are able to use Twitter to build genuine connections which lead to lasting relationships with their audiences through meaningful conversations.

Businesses are able to gain valuable insights on what their customers have to say about them, resolve customer service issues, and to create brand ambassadors through regular interactions with audiences.

Another way that Twitter fans and business have begun to engage with each other is through the use of Twitter chats.

Twitter Chats are becoming all the rage. Twitter chats are real time Q/A sessions between users who share similar interests or follow a particular hashtag.

Some of my favorite Twitter chats are #WinnieSun #OrcaChat #BizHeroes and #TwitterSmarter. I attend these chats at least once weekly as my schedule permits.

I highly recommend attending one or more of these!

I’ve made quite a few unexpected connections that have turned into friends and colleagues that I look forward to tweeting with whenever I log onto the platform.

If you’re interested in participating in one of my favorite Twitter chats, here are the dates and times (as of the date of this post.

#OrcaChat: Orcachat is hosted by one of my favorite tweeters Kristin, who is the voice behind the @HeyOrca brand Twitter handle. Chat topics include Social Media, Business, and Marketing, and Tacos? Tuesdays from 1 pm to 2 pm Eastern Standard Time

#BizHeroes: BizHeroes is hosted by another one of my favorite Tweeters the amazing @ZalaB via @paper.li.  Zala Bricelj a digital storyteller and friendly Twitter influencer. Chat topics: Business, Marketing, and Social Media Marketing. Tuesdays from 2 pm to 3 pm EST.

#WinnieSun: This chat is named after it’s amazing and accomplished host Winnie Sun who represents Sun Group Wealth Partners. Chat topics include Personal Finance, Business Finance, Social Media Marketing, and Business. Wednesdays from 2 pm to 3 pm EST.

To join the chat just follow the hashtag at the relevant date and time.

Each Twitter chat provides a wealth of knowledge and insights from real-life participants who practice in the relevant industry that the chat covers. I’ve never walked away from a Twitter chat empty handed.

Whether it’s gaining information regarding the latest industry trends and happenings, connecting with Twitter influencers, or making lasting business networking connections, Twitter chats offer users the ability to connect with each other in an incredible way.

If you’re looking for an “always on” connection where you can gather real-time data and information about your industry, customers, trends, news, and just about any other topic that you can think of, then think of a catchy handle or username and login to Twitter, it’s all there.

Both customers and brands are using Twitter to gain industry insights and to assist with making purchase decisions.

Platforms like Twitter have completely changed the customer buying cycle where customers are now able to stay connected with brands from the pre-purchase phase to the support phase of the buying cycle.

Twitter is the New Black.

The GIF is turning 30 this year!!

The GIF is turning 30 this year.

The GIF has provided us with a revolutionary way to communicate a large amount of information in a short video-clip format. Who knew that the GIF was a millennial?

The GIF is one of my favorite forms of communicating via Social Media.

When you’re trying to get “just” the right message across and you can’t seem to find the words…Nothing says it better than a GIF.

Happy Birthday!!
